1. Senior Corporate Accountant

 

Full-time

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily tasks of reviewing invoices for all account payables including preparing and mailing out checks, wire transfers, internal bank transfers of funds
  • Review daily deposit and warehouse/Repo lines on a daily basis and confirm the accuracy of deposits/withdraws of funds from these accounts
  • Review detailed analyses of general ledger accounts and bank reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and tax documents related to the company
  • Analyze monthly expenses/income and report to Senior Accountant and CEO
  • Prepare annual 1099’s and 1098’s
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in receiving and ordering appraisal reports to various 3rd party Residential appraisers and consolidate billings once a month

Salary Level: $80K-$100K

 

 

2. Staff Accountant

 

Job Description:

The Accounting Department is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a company’s reports and statements. A staff accountant will usually report to the senior accountant or chief financial officer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting records, including filing.
  • Reconcile daily received & disbursed amounts of the company.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Ad hoc assignments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in EXCEL.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer usage.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least one year of accounting or clerical experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Korean language required.

4. Mortgage Loan Underwriter

Job Description:

Currently looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Underwriter. Interested candidates must have at least 3 - 5 years' experience as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter.

 

Responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Underwriter:

Will be expected to perform the following job duties:

  • Underwrite FHA and Conventional loans within the company and investors' guidelines.
  • Monitor updated guidelines and compliance issues.
  • Review and update information on LOS to verify, add, delete, or waive conditions.
  • Contact Account Executives and/or Loan Officers with the underwriting decisions or problems.
  • Coordinate with Account Coordinators to ensure smooth flow of transactions.
  • Provide reports and feedback to other staff and the underwriting team

Requirements of the Mortgage Loan Underwriter:

  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude, reliability, a self-starter who assumes responsibility when warranted, professional in manner, and hard-working.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

  • Mortgage Underwriting: 3 years (Preferred).

5. DE Underwriter

Responsibilities of DE Underwriter:

DE Underwriter evaluates residential mortgage loan applications, reviewing credit reports, appraisals, income, assets, and ensuring compliance. They assess conforming, non-conforming, and equity loans for regulatory and investor compliance, maintaining fair lending practices. Promptly communicates decisions (approval, counteroffer, etc.) to relevant parties. Also supports Underwriters, Processors, and Home Loan Advisers with scenarios and loan structuring.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Underwrite loans daily per FHA, agency, investor, and credit union policies.
  • Validate FHA-insured loans via HUD's FHA Connection.
  • Review and approve conditions within set turnaround times.
  • Maintain knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on FHA and secondary market requirements.
  • Analyze tax returns, credit reports, and appraisals.
  • Prioritize workload to meet turnaround times.
  • Communicate with vendors, agencies, and staff.
  • Stay informed about mortgage industry trends.
  • Address quality control issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with management to adjust procedures.
  • Coordinate with origination and operations staff for compliance.

Education & Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as an Underwriter and complete knowledge of the mortgage business.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with FHA/VA/Agency loans.
  • Direct Endorsement (DE) required.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in credit and risk, along with decision-making skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and technical report writing skills.
  • Attention to detail.

6. In-House Account Manager's Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing Applications & Recertification: The primary duty of someone in a broker approval department is to review and evaluate broker applications & recertification. They should carefully assess each application, ensuring that all required documents and information are present and meet the necessary criteria.
  2. Conducting Due Diligence: It is crucial for individuals in this role to conduct thorough due diligence on brokers applying for approval. They should verify the broker's credentials, experience, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This may involve conducting background checks, reviewing financial statements, and assessing the broker's reputation in the industry.
  3. Compliance Monitoring: The person in this role should monitor approved brokers for ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. This may involve conducting periodic audits, reviewing reports, and ensuring that brokers adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Supporting & Communication with Account Executive and Correspondence: Effective Supporting & communication with Account Executive are essential in this role. The individual should maintain clear and professional communication with brokers and the Account Executive, both during the application process and throughout their loan processing. They may need to request additional information, provide updates, and address any concerns or inquiries.
  5. Documenting Broker Score Card, Account Executive Score Card, and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized records is vital for regulatory compliance and future reference. The person in this role should ensure that all relevant documentation, including application materials, correspondence, and compliance reports, are properly filed and recorded.
  6. Prospective Business Outreach: In addition to the core responsibilities, the individual will be tasked with proactively reaching out to prospective brokers via email to cultivate new business opportunities. This involves identifying potential brokers who align with our company's objectives, crafting compelling email itches, and maintaining communication to nurture leads.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Individuals in this role should always strive for continuous improvement. They should stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to broker approval and compliance. This can help in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's operations.
